Abstract

Zinc dust serves as a reducing agent in the presence of ammonium formate and NaOH, and is highlyeffective for the hydrodebromination of decabromodiphenyl ether to give diphenyl ether and the less brominated diphenyl ethers. © 2010 Taylor & Francis.
