Abstract

Madison's poem, an I poem, was created by following the steps of the Listening Guide (e.g., Brown & Gilligan, 1992), a qualitative feminist method. Originally called the Reading Guide, this method was developed to attend to silenced voices and, in particular, to pay attention to the multiplicity of a single voice.
