Abstract

In this text, I suggest that it is worth drawing attention to both structural and dynamic aspects of social reality from the field of social movements and social participation. Going beyond Social Movement Studies or the Sociology of Protest, I advocate for doing Sociology trough the study of social movements. If academics on this field have traditionally emphasized their agency capacity, as collective actors urging social transformations and changes, an alternative (and complementary) view emphasizes, on the other hand, that sociology of action shouldn’t conform as a different field of the social organization.
