Abstract

A review. Topics include: laser spectroscopy using semiconductor lasers; CO2, N2O and CO laser spectroscopy; laser spectroscopy using color center lasers, nonlinear frequency shifting of visible lasers, free electron lasers. The paper summarizes the different radiation source lasers for IR laser radiation and illustrates their use with a no. of spectroscopic examples using transient mols.
