Abstract

The health care industry is currently undergoing its most dramatic changes since World War II. Hospitals are having to alter their health care delivery systems to meet the needs of the dynamic health care market. A survey instrument was developed to provide hospitals information on how patients review their practices. The application of this survey to an eastern Arkansas county hospital provided valuable input so that practices and policies could be adjusted to better serve the needs of that community allow it to and effectively compete against other health care delivery systems.
