Pancreatic cancer is an aggressive disease with a very poor prognosis, with a close parallel between disease incidence and mortality [1]. Even after potential curative resection, most patients will eventually have recurrence, and 5-year survival of completely resected patients is only up to 25% [2]. Aspecific symptoms frequently appear late, when the cancer become unresectable and can be treated only with palliative treatments to overcome the duodena obstruction of the bile flow.
