Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui debit banjir dan potensi banjir berdasarkan rencana kala ulang tahunan di sekitar Sungai Amassangan. Dalam penelitian ini luas area cakupan banjir dibatasi pada bagian hilir Sungai Amassangan. Program HAC-RAS digunakan untuk menunjukkan debit banjir rencana tahunan pada setiap cross section. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan perhitungan debit banjir kala ulang tahunan, sungai Amassangan mengalami peningkatan debit banjir dari tahun ke tahun. Lokasi yang sangat berpotensi terendam banjir adalah pada STA 300 – STA 500 dimana palung sungai semakin naik akibat sedimentasi, sehingga aliran air sungai berpotensi untuk meluap ke pinggiran sungai dan menggenangi pemukiman warga di sekitarnya ketika intensitas curah hujan tinggi. Upaya penanggulangan banjir yang dapat di lakukan oleh pemerintah daerah adalah dengan ‘normalisasi’ pada palung sungai dan pinggiran sungai untuk mengoptimalkan fungsi sungai di sepanjang ruas sungai pada bagian hilir This study aims to determine the flood discharge and flood potential based on the annual return period plan around the Amassangan River. In this study the flood coverage area is limited to the lower reaches of the Amassangan River. The HAC-RAS program is used to show the annual planned flood discharge for each cross section. The results showed that based on the calculation of the annual return flood discharge, the Amassangan river experienced an increase in flood discharge from year to year. Locations that have the potential to be flooded are at STA 300 – STA 500 where the riverbed is rising due to sedimentation, so that the flow of river water has the potential to overflow onto the banks of the river and inundate nearby residents' settlements when the intensity of rainfall is high. Flood control efforts that can be carried out by local governments are by 'normalizing' the riverbeds and riverbanks to optimize the function of the river along the river sections in the downstream
