Abstract

A review. Brief description of emulsion, formation of nanoemulsions, emulsion phys. properties, and emulsions for i.v. drug delivery is presented. Solubilization of poorly sol. drugs, reduced pain/irritation, reduced toxicity of drug, improved pharmacokinetics, new method of delivery, drug targeting, active targeting, passive targeting, multiple functionality, and new therapies are also shown.
