Abstract

Environmental exposure measurements and evaluations can be used for the examination of the health burden caused by various environmental factors in early life. In this chapter, the environmental chemical exposure assessment is discussed. The chemical exposure assessment includes internal exposure assessment and external exposure assessment. This chapter provides an understanding of the biomarker and material selection and summarizes the instruments and methods for the assessment. With the improvement of exposure assessment technology, the investigation of exposome in birth cohorts is the future of this field, which can provide more comprehensive insights into environmental exposure assessment in early life.
