EFFECTIVENESS OF DISCHARGE PLAN ON QUALITY OF LIFE OF POSTANGIOPLASTY PATIENTS

Abstract

Background : Coronary artery disease is caused by deposition of cholesterol and fats in the inner lining of coronary arteries which leads to blockage of it and obstruct the flow of blood to heart muscles which lead to ischemia and necrosis of muscles of the heart. Angioplasty is one of the interventions for management of coronary artery disease. Objectives : The objective of the study was to prepare discharge plan for post angioplasty patients and give them so they can take care of themselves at home and to evaluate the effectiveness of discharge plan on QOL of post angioplasty patients.
