This paper shows how much carbon-free energy might ultimately be available at the global scale It is based on the international reports and incorporates data from our more recent research The paper examines cost, capacity, advantages and disadvantages of hydropower, nuclear fission, biomass, wind, geothermal, solar and ocean energy It highlights which sources make most sense
