Abstract

In the current era of recent technological proliferation, the sensor network is a highly alluring field of research, thus, finding large-scale applications ranging from health care to military applications. In such networks, various protocols and approaches are used over time and again for prolonging the lifetime of the network. With the pace of time, various clustering approaches are used effectively for minimizing the energy expenditure of nodes. Basically, during the occurrence of any event, the scalars ensnare the event and they collectively report the data to the base station. Basically, such scalars are the sensors those can trap the textual information and they combinedly report their data either individually or collectively to the desired sensor(s) or base station for further processing. The current article presents an introduction to clustering and several issues associated with it. Afterward, it investigates various clustering approaches and collaborates briefly the various operations on those algorithms considering several attributes of clustering in mind. Our current article basically discusses various clustering approaches used in diversified fields of technology and proposes a cluster sensing model as a future direction of research toward wireless sensor systems.
