Abstract

Introduction Mayan groups inhabiting the Mexican portion of the Yucat�n peninsula (Status o Campeche, Yucat�n and Quintana Roo) participated in complex network of cultural, political, and economic activities, and Developer land use patterns that contributed to the conservation of vast extensions of the natural landscapes (Shaker, 1999).
