BLDC motors are popular in electronic appliance applications from household to industrial because of several advantages they have. However, it also has shortcomings in the installation of sensors which cause an increase in the cost of motor driving. From these problems, the use of the sensorless method (using EMF back voltage detection) is an alternative solution for determining the inverter commutation on a BLDC motor, also using the FOC method to reduce noise and torque ripple on the motor by utilizing PID control to speed up and stabilizes the rotation speed automatically. System performance has been tested using Matlab. The simulation results show that the FOC method using PID can improve dynamic system responses and reduce the overshoot value. The speed change in this system has succeeded in reaching the 3000 Rpm set point
