Automatic optical inspection equipment in Asia-pacific region market has grown rapidly in recent years. In this paper, an industrial FPC application of automated optical inspection system is presented. An illumination delivers high intensity and uniform lighting. A flat vacuum table applys sufficient suction to overcome panel warping. The processor of the system receives the images and software algorithms to analyze the acquired image. The false alarm rate of the system is less than 10%.
