Abstract

In our paper, we want to examine the situation in 2022 among young adults regarding self-efficacy, entrepreneurial attitude and character. Since several studies prove that entrepreneurial ambitions are the highest among young adults with a degree it seems obvious to conduct a survey among university students and examine its results. Students from two countryside universities were surveyed from the field of management studies, horticulture and engineering about their 5 years plan and how they think about entrepreneurship and their own attitude on this topic. The sample (N=323) results from a simple concentrated sampling; the total population is Hungarian students. A significant relationship was found along the indicators of openness to innovation (trying new things) and adventure, risk-seeking and excitement. Most of Bandura's questions are significant, those who imagine their adult life as an entrepreneur or in a family business are much more self-efficacious and have better problem-solving skills.
