Abstract

Recent progress in understanding the nature of astrophysical black holes is briefly reviewed. Special attentions are paid on the comparison of various classes of astrophysical black holes and the non-standard type models of accretion flow onto black holes, including near-critical accretion flow (slim-disk) model and magnetohydrodynamical (MHD) flow with jets.
