Abstract

Organ cultures were inoculated with viruses belonging to five different morphological groups. Cells and debris were abraded from the cultures four days later and examined by a negative contrast technique. All but the smallest particles were readily recognised. This method has been of value in visualising some recently isolated viruses. © 1967 Springer-Verlag.
