Abstract

In this study, a one-dimensional model is developed for a vertical bubble tube absorber based on the analogies between momentum, heat and mass transfers in a two-phase cocurrent upward flow. The model is compared with two-phase flow correlations from literature and found that proper choice of pressure-drop and void fraction correlations allows predicting the heat and mass transfer coefficients of a bubble absorber with a reasonable accuracy.
