This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows: To assess the effects of mefloquine for preventing malaria in pregnant women. Specifically, to evaluate the: efficacy, safety and tolerability of mefloquine for preventing malaria in pregnant women. effect of HIV status, gravidity and ITN use on mefloquine efficacy.
