The present paper summarizes the study carried out in order to understand the influ- ence of SRA (shrinkage reducing admixtures) on shrinkage and other mechanical properties of HPC (high performance concrete). A revision of different theoretical models for predicting shrinkage of HPC is made and an alternative prediction method based on ANN (artificial neural networks) is proposed. A comparison between results of these two kinds of methods is shown.
