Abstract

Microwave has been applied to diagnostic and therapeutic medicine for many years. The dielectric properties of different tissues such as breast, muscles, brain, and esophagus has been studied at Microwave frequency between 45 MHz and 20GHz. This paper aims to review different Microwave techniques and human tissue-equivalent phantoms for the investigation of dielectric properties of several tissues. © 2008 Springer-Verlag.
