Abstract

Secularization as Sociocultural MegatrendThe article deals with the widely discussed issue of the phenomena of secularization and desecularization under conditions of diffusion of religious pluralism. New forms and functions of “returning” religiousness in modern multicultural societies are addressed. Author studies above questions from the perspective of sociology of religion and makes an attempt to critically discuss crucial standpoints in the domain.
