The doctor-patient relation (or Clinic Relationship - CR) is a vital aspect of medical practice. This article alms at highlighting four of CR's characteristics which hold important implications for medical teaching: CR needs new theoretical references for practice; it puts the patient at the center of the relationship; it underlines the importance of the medical professional In the clinical act; and it demands a reflexive and phenomenological medical practice.
