In this paper, we present a novel mediate-based framework for ABS (Agent-based simulation) which integrates common functions for commanders and operational entities in military analytic simulation. This framework aims to provide architecture for agents that run faster than real-time. Traditional "sensethink- action" cycle for multi-agent is extended to "sense-think-lookaheadaction" cycle to reduce computation complexity and avoid possible loss of interactions. And a simulation platform with three mediators is designed for typical actions of military agents. The initial implementation of sense mediator is described and the spending of time for a simple scenario is compared with traditional approaches. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2013.
