Abstract

This paper presents the role of the OBA method as a preparative technique performed before the business process analysis, design and simulation. The first part of this paper discusses the motivation for the application of the object-oriented paradigm to the business process modelling and the need to perform set of specific formal steps before assembling process diagrams in order to assure better results. The second part describes the modification of the OBA - Object Behavioral Analysis as the proven tool enabling these necessary requirement capture activities. The third and the last part of the paper presents our practical experience with this method made on various projects in the Czech Republic and Central-European region.
