Abstract

Printed Circuit Board layout involves the skillful placement of the required components in order to facilitate the routing process and minimize or satisfy size constraints. In this paper, we present the application to this problem of a general system, which is able to combine knowledge-based and search-based solving and which has a meta-level layer to control it's reasoning. Results have shown that, with the given knowledge, the system can produce good solutions in a short time.
