Russia and Ukraine have had tense relations since 2014, with violence erupting as a result. Cyber-attacks have become an integral aspect of this conflict, in addition to the border issue and the separatist movement in Ukraine. Tensions between the two countries grew in 2021, and a significant cyber attack on the Ukrainian government website occurred in early 2022. Because the Ukrainian government claims that Russia was the brains behind the cyber assault, it has exacerbated the dispute between the two countries. Based on the timing of the wars and cyber attacks related to Ukraine, the goal of this study is to examine the relationship between cyber assaults and the political policies of the two countries toward the conflicts that occur. It also describes the cyberspace dilemmas related to finding evidence of the real actors of cyber attacks.
