Managing one individuals' own behaviors is one of the main objectives of education. Teachers should teach self management strategies to their students to take the responsibility of their own behaviors. Self-monitoring, as a component of self-management strategies and behavior management strategy, reduces problems behaviors of students with disabilities and increases academic performance. This article provides information about self-monitoring as self-management strategy and introduces application steps.
