Abstract

Our objective in this paper is to give some emphasis to the special problems of the process industries. Most of the literature on SPC relates to the component manufacturing field, and this has some unfortunate consequences, not the least of which is that the rather difficult problems of the process industries are not getting the interest they deserve.
