Abstract

In this paper we propose an optimal search strategy for web-based 3D model retrieval. Special considerations are given to the determination of the target's initial probability distributions. Two optimal search strategies are derived by using Lagrange multiplier method. Experimental results shows that this approach is more efficient than random search. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2006.
