Abstract

The African proverb, “It takes a village to raise a child” is the quintessential descriptor of collaboration. The proverb, in its most literal sense, describes how a community of people from diverse backgrounds, each with a unique set of skills, interacts together to create an environment in which a child can grow and develop. The village works together as a support for the child, united for the journey of life that lies ahead.
