Abstract

Tullio Levi-Civita (1871–1943), professor at the University of Rome from 1918 onwards, was a prominent Italian mathematician of the first part of the 20th century. He gave remarkable contributions to various mathematical fields, such as general relativity, the three-body problem, differential geometry, and hydrodynamics.
