Abstract

To the high real-time quality requirement of instrument simulation system of airport fire engine simulator, a system base on parallel simulation technology was promoted. It uses PLC with fast pulses output function to control micro step motor to simulate the motion and indication of instrument of fire engine, and uses industrial personal computer to solve vehicle device model to simulate working of fire engine. PLC and industrial personal computer exchange data with each other through a RS-422 serial bus. PLC and industrial personal computer working in parallel, which promotes the response speed of instrument system. RS-422 serial bus transforms data fast, long and strong anti-jamming, which decreases system delay greatly and insures the reliable running of real-time simulation system. Experiment showed that it can be guaranteed of real-time and accuracy of the system and the system can meet the fire engine simulator instrument system requirements. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2012.
