The two-part article, 'Dissipative Dynamical Systems,' by Jan C. Willems, was received by the Archive for Rational Mechanics and Analysis on January 19, 1972, with publication in the same year (vol. 45, Part I: pp. 321-351, Part II: pp. 352-393). Part I of the article was also included in Control Theory: Twenty-Five Seminal Articles (1932-1981), T. Başar, Ed. New York: Wiley-IEEE Press, 2001, pp. 389-421.
