DIGITALISASI ARSIP STATIS PADA MASA PANDEMI COVID-19 DI PERGURUAN TINGGI

Abstract

The existence of the Covid-19 pandemic has affected services and archive access in universities. The existence of a pandemic causes physical archive services to become irrelevant. This is related to the existence of physical and social restrictions between humans to prevent the transmission of the virus. The purpose of writing this article is to find out the digitization process, static archive services and the advantages and disadvantages of digital archive services in universities. The method used in this research is Literature Review. The results showed that the digitization of archives in higher education generally includes several types of archives including textual archives, sound recordings, cartography, static and moving images. The digitization of this archive is done by scanning the archive in analog format into digital form. The advantages of digital archive services are reducing physical and social touch between humans, not being bound by space and time, and making reports easier. While the disadvantages of this digital archive are the potential for misuse of digital archives and the provision of watermarks that have not been standardized.
