Abstract

In this paper, we propose the design and construction of Broadband Convergence Network(BcN) with WiFi and ZigBee combination to transmit sensor data in smart water grid. We collected sensor data to a broadband modem using ZigBee communication for integrated management server to transmit the sensor data values used in the wastewater treatment plant. And then, we were built the system that transmitted collected sensor data real-time to the integration management server through WiFi communication. BcN with broadband modem improves the control capabilities the existing wastewater treatment plant. It is an efficient energy management is possible. Therefore, contribute to improve the energy efficiency of wastewater treatment plant is expected. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.
