This study aims to determine the development of character through learning Mathematics by using learning models in 8th class students of SMPN 13 Solok Selatan in the 2017/2018 school year. This research was conducted on 8th class students of SMPN 13 Solok Selatan with a total of 30 students. This research is classroom action research through four stages, namely: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The learning model used is Think Pair Share. The technique of collecting data uses observation, interviews, field notes, tests and documentation. Data analysis was done using descriptive with the mean (average) and the percentage of students' ability to complete assignments on time in an honest, independent and responsible manner. The results of the study of the application of the Think Pair Share learning model on the eighth grade Mathematics subjects in SMPN 13 Solok Selatan tended to increase, the achievement of honest, independent and responsible character values for two cycles showed the character qualifications to become Habits. Student learning outcomes after following the mathematics learning process also increased from the 1st cycle including in good qualifications to be very good in the 2nd cycle.
