Abstract

This paper deals with the analysis of a nonlinear dynamical system which models the axons interaction. A system with a source made by a sequence of high pulses (spike train) is analyzed. It is shown that on short range interval close to the initial time there is a chaotic behavior in the phase space, even if the solution asymptotically tends to a constant value. © 2009 Springer Berlin Heidelberg.
