Abstract

(from the chapter) Examines 4 of the major anxiety disorders: generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder (including agoraphobia), social phobia, and specific phobia. The similarities as well as the differences of these 4 disorders are discussed. Chapter sections are organized similarly to cover the definition, clinical features, maintaining factors, and treatment of these disorders.
