Abstract

Quality of Service support for Mobile Ad-hoc Networks is a challenging task due to dynamic topology and limited resource. In this paper initially systematic performance study of two routing protocol for ad hoc networks Ad hoc On Demand Distance Vector (AODV)[1], Ad hoc On Demand Multipath Distance Vector (AOMDV)[2] based on QoS parameters throughput, delay, packet delivery ratio is made. Then a novel QoS routing algorithm called Quality of Service - Ad hoc On-demand Multipath Distance Vector Routing (QoS-AOMDV) based on Adhoc On-demand Multipath Distance Vector Routing (AOMDV) is proposed to support QoS constraints. © 2011 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
