Abstract

Article 29 concerns the entry into force of the Convention. Though it is true that a treaty cannot be said to have no legal effects whatsoever before its entry into force, this date is still a very important one: Once the conditions for an agreement’s entry into force are fulfilled, it becomes binding under international law on the legal entities which have expressed their consent to be bound by it.
