The article discusses the emerging demands of cultural diversity policies and their consequences in the cultural heritage processes, seeking to show the correspondence between these processes and the informal practices of patrimonialisa-tion among noninstitutionalized collectors. In this context, they are described three collector frames, in order to show that contemporary collectionism constitutes patrimonialisation projects articulated around the biography of the individuals, relational performances and identity commitments such as social orientation maps.
