Abstract

At the present time, organophosphate-based insecticides are employed on an ever growing scale in applied arachnoentomology, because they offer a number of advantages over the chlorinated hydrocarbons which have been used so far. Apart from a high effectiveness, organophosphate insecticides are particularly expedient in that they can be used systemically and, do not usually accumulate in mammalian tissues, which makes them practicable for veterinary purposes.
