Abstract

A TLM nodal structure and its scatting matrix suitable for modeling the elastic wave propagation were developed by Langley et al [1]. In the present paper, extension is made to the inhomogeneous field in which an elastic wave propagation behavior between two different elastic media is considered for the normal and oblique incidences. The angles and amplitudes of the reflected and refracted waves are compared with those of the theoretical solution to confirm the validity of the present model. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2007.
