Abstract

The practice of hair restoration today encompasses a thorough knowledge of the proper principles of hairline design and planning, follicular unit grafting employing microscopic dissection, follicular unit extraction techniques, and the many applications of hair transplantation available today. The proper practice of hair restoration also dictates having knowledge of the medications and adjunct treatments that have been developed surrounding this field. Modern principles, techniques, and outcomes will be discussed to aid the physician that may or may not be currently performing hair transplantation but wants to know more about this field and its many applications.
