Abstract

The paper presents the first records in Poland of Agrilus hastulifer(Ratzeburg, 1837) (Buprestidae). It is the 31st species of the genus AgrilusCurtis, 1825recorded in the country. It wasfound in two locations in eastern (Białowieza Primeval Forest) and central Poland (Kampinos National Park). All data of the biology and economic significance of this species, based on theliterature and our observations, are summarized. Due to the great difficulty in distinguishing this species from Agrilus graminisKiesenwetter, 1857,we also provide an original, richly illustratedcomparisonuseful for discriminating the two species.
