Abstract

TilePro™, the multi-input display system available on da Vinci surgical system, enables the surgeon to add additional information onto the 3D operative field view. Digital and video inputs such as radiologic images and/or videos can be viewed simultaneously as the surgeon is performing the operation. Moreover, real-time images from concurrently performed endoscopy or intraoperative ultrasound can be evaluated on TilePro during surgery. These features make TilePro™ a promising tool for data integration during robotic surgery. It makes delivery of information to the surgeon during the operation without interruption of the operative process. Although the current use of TilePro is limited, its application demonstrated favorable outcomes with the potential for use during many types of robotic operations.
