Abstract

The number and extent of supply chain-related RFID applications far exceed those in the general manufacturing domain. We discuss possible reasons for this state. We review existing applications of RFID in manufacturing and discuss possible applications and related advantages and challenges. © IFIP International Federation for Information Processing 2013.
