Abstract

By adding two related constructs (use context and perceived risk), this paper explored the impacts on the using of mobile payment based upon UTAUT model. With empirical study from 111 questionnaires, the results indicate that performance expectancy and effort expectancy are key determinants for the users to adopt the mobile payment. Use context, via its significant influence on performance expectancy and effort expectancy, has an indirect affect on user behavior. Furthermore, inconsistent with previous researches, there is no significant relationship between perceived risk and behavioral intention, neither between social influence and behavioral intention. Also there is no significant influence of facilitating conditions on user behavior. © 2012 Springer-Verlag GmbH.
